Who ARE WE?

Midnight Ballad is an independent film studio and production team founded in 2025 to create compelling and authentic live action content based on indie games, comics and more. We utilize a small, talented, passionate team and modern set of production tools which enables us to create live action trailers, shorts, series and films on a modest, affordable budget. We ensure that the live action content that we produce for our clients matches the tone and aesthetic of the property that they are based on, ensuring that fans and communities can be excited and proud.

Ryan “Mayor” Reynolds
Co-Founder

Ryan “Mayor” Reynolds is a life long manager, content creator and a former Mayor. At Midnight Ballad, Ryan is responsible for ensuring that our scripts and projects match the tone, aesthetic and vibe of the properties that they are based on. As a gamer himself, Ryan understands that gamers expect to recognize the games, settings and characters that they love, on-screen.

Mayor Reynolds also livestreams on Twitch and is active on virtually all social media platforms.

CHRIS LANTRY
CO-FOUNDER

Chris Lantry is a life long performer responsible for the creation of several award winning short films and holds a Master’s Degree in Film Production from Syracuse Newhouse. At Midnight Ballad, Chris is the jack of all trades during production assisting in camera operation, lighting, acting, costumes and more.

Prior to the formation of Midnight Ballad, Chris wrote, directed and starred in the award winning short film “The Ballad of Boot Knife Belle.” He also produced the soundtrack with his band BootKnife.
